Pengertian Simple Past Future Tense

Simple past future tense adalah bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk menyatakan kejadian yang akan terjadi atau dilakukan di masa lampau (past future). Rumus Simple Past Future Tense

Simple past future tense memiliki dua rumus. Yang pertama disebut verbal dan dipakai ketika terdapat verb (kata kerja), sementara yang kedua disebut nominal dan digunakan tatkala tidak terdapat verb. Sebagai gantinya, be perlu ditambahkan di rumus kedua ini.

   Contoh:

   A friend of mine promised that he would pick me up at five. (Temanku janji akan menjemputku jam 5.)

5. Untuk menyatakan harapan di masa lalu

   Contoh:

   Many working-class people hoped the government would cut land tax for them. (Masyarakat golongan pekerja berharap pemerintah akan memangkas pajak tanah untuk mereka.)
